Eastern Woods Music is an independent record label and music publishing company dedicated to the production, administration, and worldwide representation of original musical works. Since its founding in 1999, the company has served as the creative and business home for the recordings and compositions of guitarist, composer, and educator Peter Janson.
Operating through EWM Records and EWM Publishing, Eastern Woods Music oversees the release, registration, licensing, and administration of its musical catalog while maintaining professional relationships with organizations and partners throughout the international music industry.
Record Label
EWM Records has released nine independently produced recordings spanning contemporary jazz, acoustic guitar, and original instrumental music. The label manages all aspects of production, metadata, registration, manufacturing, digital distribution, and catalog administration.
Music Publishing
EWM Publishing administers the company's catalog of original musical compositions and oversees copyright registration, performing rights administration, licensing, and royalty collection. The catalog is represented internationally through a network of sub-publishing partners serving multiple territories worldwide.
